Americans come in all colors, have all types of religions, and speak many languages from all over the world. We contribute to a more inclusive, diverse society by welcoming and empowering refugees. At Eagle Online Academy, we believe that each New American has enough challenges in their lives, and we can contribute to their integration into the society to rebuild their story.
Since 2021, when the first Afghan refugee arrived in the USA, Eagle Online Academy has been a source of support to these New Americans and their families. With the help of our Empower Refugee Program, we provide legal, social, and language services to encourage and support them in achieving their dreams.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our program to serve Ukrainian refugees and their new beginnings in America.
1. Cultural and Civic orientation
Moving to a different country is a drastic change for anyone. Major changes like this become a bit smoother when you know what to expect. Understanding cultural differences is very helpful for Afghan refugees during the acclimation process.
We strive to ease the shock of transition with video-based training about the American culture. These programs can be completed in person or online while still in the refugee transitional camp.
We also work to provide video-based training to the surrounding American communities to help locals understand and respect the Afghan culture.
Offer video-based Orientation for Afghans about American culture to help integrate these families in the new country, new community.
Videos will be available in both Dari and Pashto languages.

2. Training
Most Afghan refugees come to the U.S. unable to speak fluent English. Our training program offers assistance with language fluency. We also offer skill-based training to help provide career opportunities for these women.
Our specialized training approach aims to help these women recognize their own strengths and weaknesses. We use this information to place these women in skill training that best matches their strengths and passions. Through both individual and group support, we empower women to build an abundant future for themselves.

3. E-Coaching
With a focus on women empowerment, our professional life coaches provide support for entire Afghan families. This coaching is focused on career choices and life skills as well as much needed mental health support.
These families are facing extensive trauma from violence as well as the difficulty of being uprooted from their lives. They must now adjust to a brand-new life in a drastically different environment.
This personal coaching is imperative to help Afghan refugees overcome the fear and anxiety of their experiences and to help them to move forward to a better future.
4. E-Mentorship
Each of our online students are already provided with a mentorship program. Now, we offer this support to their extended families as well.
We connect each Afghan family with an American mentor to ensure that they have every measure of support that they need and are able to transition successfully.
The goal of the mentorship program is to hone English language skills, boost confidence, and provide connection within the local community.
This mentorship program will help to prepare each Afghan refugee for employment and everyday life in their community.
5. Networking Events
We extend purposeful efforts to create connections between Afghans and Americans through various networking opportunities.
We do this by organizing local events for the integration and cultural immersion of both communities.
This provides a safe place for our Afghan community to find new circles of friends, enhance their English skills, and feel more at ease in their new surroundings. They have a place here and we aim to help them to find it.
6. Source Database
Source databases are an important tool to track information for every Afghan refugee. We work to keep these databases updated and available with easy access to each of our refugees.
- These databases are an invaluable source to locate available educational scholarships, employment opportunities, and possible network connections among the American community.
- We will find vocational and education scholarship programs for Afghan refugees.
- We will establish the mentors and coaches database.
- We will establish the volunteer’s database to increase support and integration.
7. Career Development
Starting over, especially in a brand-new culture and a new language, is difficult. We ensure that every refugee is provided opportunities for advancement. These families are dealing with enough during their transition.
We offer our full support to help with career development. Our services include resume creation as well as assistance with uploading to job portals and exclusive opportunities for valuable career networking.
- We will develop our student’s resume and upload to our job portal, connecting them with employers, we already have the portal in our Eagle online Academy Website.

Eagle Online Academy can see a successful future waiting for strong individuals that have the drive to press forward.
To date, we have had the privilege to serve over 220 Afghan women through our online education programs. While these e-learning programs are comprehensive and valuable, these Afghan women need even more support to thrive.
We always look for ways to expand, improve, and sustain our acts of love to promote women empowerment for Afghan refugees. Effective support will provide a platform for women and girls from Afghanistan to make a great future for themselves.
