Meet Khalida: 2022 Graduate, Kabul, Afghanistan

Khalida has been an Eagle Online Academy student since September 2020. Since the loss of her husband in one explosion in March 2018, the widow and mom of 4 is the sole breadwinner for the family.

Through the Academy, Khalida completed Project Management classes acquiring more skills with more opportunities to grow in her career. Eventually, she got a good job with a great salary and was able to dream about providing a brighter future for her kids.

Unfortunately, in August 2021, things changed and became more difficult. As the situation in Afghanistan worsened, Khalida lost her job and is still unsure about her future. She feels hopeless about herself and her children's future as she cannot provide three meals a day for the family.

Khalida's story is one in many that we hear every day. Eagle Online Academy stands for our students inside Afghanistan. We provide them with support and essential needs to continue their lives. Currently, we are looking to find a solution and create online job opportunities for our students.

As for Khalida, she proves that our mission is far from over, and even with all the difficulties, Afghan women are not ready to give up yet.
